We strongly recommend having an issues page on your site. This is a page where you tell visitors (voters) where you stand on the issues. There’s no need to get TOO detailed, just a general overview. Tell people how you are going to make people’s lives better, how personal liberty is at the root of our freedom as detailed by the founding fathers in the Constitution and how you will help achieve it.
These days in our ADD, gotta-have-it-now society, many people like when you cut right to the heart of the matter. No one has time for exhaustive information. Besides, the easier you make information to digest the better odds that visitors will stay on your site, digesting the various content you present.
You may want to lay out your platform in several bullet points. You can always link to another page (or post) from this page to further expound on that issue or idea. For instance:
- Issue #1 (Would link to more information about this issue)
- Issue #2
- Issue #3
You may want to “stamp” your platform issues with a quote. This brings legitimacy to your cause or issue.
“Don’t interfere with anything in the Constitution. That must be maintained, for it is the only safeguard of our liberties.” - Abraham Lincoln
